Valley View Residence

Pasadena, CA (Completion 2020)

The uphill hillside lot presented DKY Architects with a challenge to design homes on the steep lots that would meet the City requirements and maximize the allowable area for the developer client.  To meet the City and client requirements the houses are designed using building blocks that climb the hill and conform to the terrain creating a unique statement. The building block massing elements are given rotations to create views and spaces in relation to one another. The residences have Planning Department approval and are in building department review.
